Blue Cow Polish Deli

Blue Cow Polish Deli

“Otherwise we would just be called the blue cow, moo.” If that doesn’t sell you on the Blue Cow Polish Restaurant & Deli (besides accessing AHG’s premier selection of slot terminals), we don’t know what will. The Blue Cow has the most authentic selection of Polish deli favorites in the area. Located in Lake in the Hills, Blue Cow opened in 2008 and is owned by Jozef and Jolanta Buch. Jolanta emigrated from Poland in 1985, and husband Jozef followed two years later in 1987. The couple ditched their 20-year corporate jobs and returned to their roots by establishing Blue Cow, bringing the best of Poland to their friends and neighbors.

Other than a recent modernizing renovation, the Blue Cow is the same traditional eatery it has been for the past decade, one that exudes cultural norms of Poland. The main attraction, though, is, of course, the food. Some favorites from the deli counter include Cykoria, Pudliszki, and Czaniecki, plus a full-service Polish restaurant serving pierogies, Polish sausage, and potato pancakes. What we’re trying to say is, you can’t go wrong with the unforgettable food, customer service, and overall experience all customers receive at the Blue Cow.

Tommy’s Pizza

Tommy's Pizza

Tommy’s Pizza in Spring Grove has undergone noteworthy changes throughout the last several months, including new ownership and management. Now, they’re back and ready to serve customers better than ever before. Many of the hometown favorites have stayed the same, but with a noticeable shift in focus. Tommy’s new owners are revitalizing priorities of providing quality food, a wide range of drinks, and an entertaining environment geared towards sports enthusiasts. New menu items include small plates of Shrimp Armani, Clams Mondelli, and Veal Meatballs, with larger entrees like Tommy’s Pot Roast Sandwich, Tommy’s Lobster Roll, Baby Back Ribs, and, of course, award-winning pizzas and pastas!

Sports fans unite. Tommy’s has big-screen TV’s all over their restaurant and bar area, with billiards, foosball, and darts to pass your time between periods. Slot machines are dispersed evenly along a side wall to keep you in the action but engaged at your own station. Tommy’s also has fare for vintage fans with their Sports Blaster and Hot Shop Stickers & Tattoos.

Doyle’s Pub

Doyles Pub

The second-oldest building in Richmond, Doyle’s Pub is a historical landmark. It was built in 1844 and originally called the Richmond Mill. Owner Jeanne Doyle took over the converted restaurant in 1994 after years of ownership changes and vacancies to bring the community a go-to place for great food, drinks, and company. Today’s gamers can enjoy playing Vegas-style slot machines in Doyle’s famous vintage-themed basement featuring classic rock memorabilia. Every menu item is made fresh daily, with Jeanne making sauces, soups, chili, salad dressings, and more herself to ensure the highest quality for customers. And what would an Irish pub be without roasted meats? All corned beef, roast beef, roast turkey, and prime ribs are roasted in-house. As you can see, there’s plenty of ways to try your luck at Doyle’s!

Bricks & Ivy Sports Tavern officially opened for the season in January 2018. The fully remodeled Bricks & Ivy resembles a Chicago landmark: Wrigley Field, the perfect place for a Chicago sports bar! Complete with outfield markers, the “brick and ivy” that lines the walls of the gaming area makes gamers feel like they’re inside the famous baseball diamond. Owner and restaurant industry veteran, Mark Weishaar, built his venue to encourage enjoyable, family-friendly experiences revolving around sports, something that brings all walks of life together.

Bricks & Ivy serves up delicious helpings of everything you’d want to have for a sports game. Between freshly-made pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and calzones, you definitely will not leave hungry! While you’re waiting for your food, hit up one of the five slot machines or challenge your friends and family to a friendly game of darts. Whichever you choose, Bricks & Ivy is excited to make you part of its family!
