ZJ’s Mine is a neighborhood bar with a cozy atmosphere and great clientele. The first owner of 24 years sold the location to Zig. Zigmund was an amazing person and business owner, but unfortunately is no longer with us. When he passed away, Marty and Lin bought the place and took over. Marty and Lin value tradition and are both committed to keeping everything exactly as it was when Zig was alive. ZJ’s Mine was given its name when Zig was alive; he couldn’t come up with a name, so he held a contest and people thought up names and voted. ZJ’s Mine was the winner.
ZJ’s Mine is an old-school, neighborhood bar. You won’t find much in the way of food at this beer and shot bar, but that’s all a part of its charm. The crowd at ZJ’s is typically middle aged, friendly, and not too rowdy. People mostly come into the bar after their shifts at work. This is the kind of bar where everyone knows one another, and everyone gets along. That’s not to say newcomers aren’t welcome. The regulars at ZJ’s love to add new people to their circle.
ZJ’s Mine has weekly events for its regulars’ enjoyment. There are free bingo games for guests on Wednesdays, and they provide free pizzas on Thursday Nights. It’s also been said that ZJ’s is a fun place that always plays good music. They recently added five video gaming machines with more than 100 different slot and video gaming available for guests to play. Be sure to check out their daily drink specials, which are some of the best in the area.
