Marengo Ridge Golf Club started in 1963 when Harry Witek and his two sons, Bob and Jerry, and his partners, Hillard Leward and Al Bieze, convinced architect William James Spear to build and design a nine-hole golf course. This course was built between US Route 20 and Harmony Hill Road through the heavily wooded hills. They added a pro shop, restaurant, and bar in an old cow barn. As the residential and business populations began to grow, it became apparent that they would need to add another nine holes. In 1990, the new nine opened on the farmland north of the existing property. Today, there are two unique nines that make up an eighteen hole course that’s unlike anything you’d find at another golf club. Marengo Ridge Golf Club is now owned and operated by Bob and Janet Witek.
Marengo Ridge Golf Course currently has an updated clubhouse that still includes a bar and grill area open seven days a week. Marengo Ridge Golf Course hosts many different events and golf outings. When golfing at Marengo Ridge with the Outing Package, guests can expect the experience to include: greens fee/cart fees, driving range, cart signs, lunch at the turn, dinner options for after golf, on course contest set-up, beverage cart service, discount merchandise coupons for selected items, staff to assist play, and full ATM service. They also guarantee nice weather with their friendly rain-check policy.
