Ortmann’s Red Iron Tavern is located in a historic red brick building built in 1906. The bar was refurbished in 2011 by owners Mike and Tammy Ortmann, and they went above and beyond to ensure that all of their patrons, both current and future, would be more than satisfied. Originally only serving drinks, Red Iron’s kitchen has undergone an update. Nowadays, they’re serving pizza and chips.
Ortmann’s Red Iron Tavern also serves 15 beers on tap, and they’re constantly adding more. Their rotation is solid, with options from Revolution, Bourbon County, and Great Lakes rolling through. Founders, Imperial, and Two Brothers are some house favorites as well. And don’t forget about the seasonal selections to top it off!
But what’s a great beer list without a knowledgeable staff to back it up? Ortmann’s bartenders and waitstaff know the different options like the back of their hands. If you’re not sure what to choose, but you know you want something different, they’ll give you a hand.
Ortmann’s Red Iron Tavern has plenty of live entertainment, too. The great, clean hometown haven is sure to spout off some country tunes on occasion. Visitors love it, and heck, so do we. They also offer their guests a chance to get lucky on their video gaming machines.
With over 100 years of serving Woodstock and the surrounding area, it’s easy to see how Ortmann’s has become a mainstay. A fashionable building with a great staff, and wonderful drink selection is bound to stick around. But 100+ years? There’s something special floating in the air here. Come on in and check it out for yourself.
